Below are a selection of suggestions for 420 seeds from our Heritage collection, this includes regular, feminized, fast flowering and autoflowering seeds. While we would recommend all of these 420 weed seeds for sale in this promotion, these are some of our favorites!
Mochalope Regular - If you want a sweet tasting strain to celebrate the high season then look no further than these chocolate-tasting 420 seeds. Mochalope is a classic strain famed for its high THC content of around 25% as well as its rare chocolate and coffee scent. This is one unique strain that really covers all bases in terms of bag appeal, scent, flavor and potency. Mochalope grows comfortably indoors as it stretches up to 150cm maximum therefore growers don’t have to worry about running out of space. Mochalope grows best in organic soil, however, hydroponics works well too and should provide these 420 weed seeds with enough nutrients for them to reach their full potential.
In terms of lineage, Mochalope inherits a few traits from its parent strain Oregon Afghani, a true American classic strain. Oregon Afghani is what has given Mochalope its amazing structure which in turn allows it to to grow strong and sturdy. Much like Mochalope feminized, Mochalope regular grows pretty quickly in just 6-8 weeks.
NYC Diesel Feminized - As you can probably tell by its name, NYC Diesel Feminized 420 seeds gets their name from America’s biggest city, the Big Apple, New York City. This is a true American classic which has been developed over years of breeding on the east coast of America. In keeping with the Big Apple moniker, this strain has a fruity taste and, since it is a Diesel strain, also a fuel flavor and scent. Furthermore, NYC Diesel has some legendary parents, we’re talking Sour Diesel, Hawaiian Sativa and Afghani - a real triple threat of legendary strains. NYC Diesel has pretty high THC content, averaging around 19% which should satisfy all levels of consumer, providing they scale consumption in line with their tolerance.
Unlike the previous strain, NYC Diesel grows extremely tall, therefore growers with limited space should beware and pay attention to their plants to ensure they have adequate space to allow their plants to stretch and grow to their full potential. NYC Diesel can grow to a phenomenal 13 feet tall in some cases, which is extremely tall for a cannabis plant. Naturally it is unlikely to reach this height indoors, however, it is extremely possible for it to grow to at least 6 or 7 feet when grown in a contained environment.
OG Kush Autoflower - Chances are you have definitely heard of these 420 weed seeds, but now we have OG Kush Autoflower, an autoflowering variant of the classic OG Kush which is famed for its presence on the west coast cannabis scene. There is some mystery surrounding OG Kush 420 seeds and their origins, firstly the main aspect in question is the true meaning of OG. Most commonly, OG is thought to mean ‘Original Gangster’ as it has been a staple of cannabis strains in California for many years and has spawned numerous hybrids. However, many veteran cultivators actually say that OG stands for ‘Ocean Grown’ as it was grown on the west coast in close proximity to the ocean where the plant was impacted by the salt from the sea.
OG Kush is known to possess high THC levels of around 20% on average. Being an autoflower, these 420 seeds are pretty easy to grow as not only do they grow pretty small, they flower automatically in 10-12 weeks.
AK-47 Fast Version - While its name sounds threatening, AK-47 is in no way violent, it is in fact one of the most relaxing strains on the market. AK-47 is Sativa-heavy but has the right amount of Indica influence to make it one of the most balanced 420 seeds for sale from Homegrown. In fact, its Indica traits have allowed it to not only enter but win a few competitions in the ‘Best Indica’ category. This is the fast version of the legendary, original AK-47 but it still possesses the same amazing trichomes as the original and the same amazing flavors and effects.
AK-47 grows fast, flowering in around 8-10 weeks and you can harvest these buds in October if you’re growing outside. While AK-47 Fast Version is a photoperiod as opposed to an actual autoflower, it is still pretty easy for growers and is more than suitable for beginners. AK-47’s Indica influence means that it grows pretty small, and it is more suitable to being grown indoors where temperature, humidity and general climate can be fully controlled.
There are a number of different stories to explain the moniker 4/20, while it is generally celebrated as a date in modern times, the most widely accepted origin of the numeral refers to a specific time of day.
As the story goes, all the way back in 1971, a group of high school students in San Rafael, California who referred to themselves as ‘Waldos’ would use the slang term ‘420 Louis’ to indicate them meeting at 4:20pm by a statue of Louis Pasteur outside of their school to smoke pot and get high together.
There are also some alternative stories which are generally considered to be untrue. First up is that 420 was California police code for people smoking marijuana, however, this was basically proven false in 1997 when a group of the previously mentioned ‘Waldos’ contacted High Times to set the record straight once and for all.
An oddball, theoretical origin of 420 involves legendary musician Bob Dylan. When thinking about Dylan’s famous song Rainy Day Woman #12 & 35, a listener realised that when you multiplied the numbers 12 and 35, the result was the number 420. Naturally, this theory is pretty far-fetched and it seems highly unlikely that there is any truth to the theory that this is the origin of the famous cannabis culture term.
Another ‘far-out’ theory refers to the number of chemical compounds in cannabis. It is stated that there are over 400 chemical compounds in marijuana but there is no reference to the specific number 420.
